First Up! is a international urban music site that was founded by me; Felicia Alexandersson in late 2004. First Up! covers all new good music of the hip hop/electronic variety i.e. grime, dubstep, booty bass, UK-funky, club, tropical, bassline, rnb, b-more…

First Up! is licensed under a Creative Commons No Derivative Works 3.0 and all text and First Up!-related material can only be re-published if correct linkage (permalink pointing to the specific post) and the source (http://www.firstup.se) is provided.

The music on the site belongs to the artist/producer/label and is shared by consent for promotional use only. First Up! advise it’s readers to support the artists and buy their music.

The images attached to the posts belongs to the label/photographer/artist if nothing else is cited.

Get your music featured on the site:
If your an artist/band/musician or if you’re the PR/label-represent and wish to get your artist/band/client featured on the site, please feel free to submit a proper EPK (electronic press kit) and the music (in .mp3-format, preferably in good quality, via external links or via First Up!’s SoundCloud) to me via e-mail: felicia_alexandersson@hotmail.com. If you wish to send physical CDs via regular post, please send me an e-mail to get my address.

Please make sure that the information you provide is correct, esp. if you are represent of the label/PR-company. If you wish the music to be streamed only/not shared, please mention it to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings.

I get around 500+ submissions/day so please don’t send the same thing 10 times in one day. Also, I only write about things I like, so if you’re a rockband or whatever that doesn’t fit my usual content of hip hop/electronic-hybrids, please save us both some time and don’t bother. I’m so sorry, but I don’t have the time to cover everything just because it falls under “music”.
