Teddy Music – ‘Hoods Up’ Official Videos & Single Release ft. Lady Leshurr, Roachee, Tre Mission & More

To be honest there’s so far only two valid song on the topic of Hoods made ’til this day; Lil Jon’s ‘Put Your Hood Up’ from 2001 and Lady Sovereign’s ‘Hoodie’ from 2005. But Sunday’s grime producer Teddy Music finally dropped his huge ‘Hoods Up’ which is like the perfect mix of them both as he actually samples the phrase from Lil Jon’s now 11 year old masterpiece as well as he enlists more or less the whole grime scene on the release, if you loved Mizz Beats remix of Sovie’s ‘Hoodie’, well you in for a real treat.

2012 will definitely be the year for Teddy, in January he dropped his “Grime (The Compliation)”-album (buy off iTunes & stream via Spotify), a 22-track big compilation of his featured productions, among them Tempa T’s ‘Spray Dem’ & ‘Doomed’ ft. Newham Generals to name a few and last week we saw the release of his instrumental project “Selectah Vol.1″.

The ‘Hoods Up’ single release (buy off Amazon or iTunes) includes the explicit and radio edit of both the original (ft. Ruff Sqwad, Ghetts, Roachee & Stutta) and the remix (ft. Lady Leshurr, Lil’ Nasty, Double S, Scrufizzer, Dot Rotten & Tre Mission), as well as the instrumental. Watch the official videos for both edits directed by Simon Dewey & Chas Appeti below:
