A couple of weeks ago Swedish producer Stress dropped his album “Playlist” (buy here, stream here) featuring the cream of the crop of the Swedish hiphop scene, as always the featured girls were too few and yes I do think it’s important to mention that, sometime I hope the scene will be more mixed up if people stop acting like they live in a past time. BUT what has marked “Playlist” is not the lack of female mc:s no, it’s this tune called ‘Tystas Ner’ featuring the RMH click: Adam Tensta, Eboi, Dida together with Aleks from Highwon.
The track centres around Swedish politics and mainly about the party we have represented in the parliament, Sverige Demokraterna (Swedish Democrats) who, basically are a bunch of racists no matter how they try to mask it up. The single was at first being played on our national radio SR but after complaints filed (all in all the track has received 70 files of complaint) to the review board the track has now been banned from being played on the larger music channel P3.
This however doesn’t apply for television. Earlier this morning they performed the track live at TV4′s Nyhetsmorgon together with The Royal Nelson Orchestra, a bunch of zooted up male pigs and in tee’s asking “Why Do You Hate Me?”:
Stress also sat down and spoke about it all (in Swedish):
