Diddy Reaches Out to UK & Grime, Signs Skepta? & ‘Hello, Good Morning’ Rmx

If you follow the man with many names, P Diddy Puff on Twitter you must have seen his tweets (Friday the 16th of April) regarding the fact that he’s about to sign an artist from London right? Now rumours has stared flying around that that very artist is Skepta. Much after Diddy’s tweets a couple of hours ago (1, 2 & 3) when he reached out his hand for a grime remix of Dirty Money’s ‘Hello, Good Morning’. Apparently Diddy has been a fan of the grime scene a long time but ‘Hello, Good Morning’ is the first track that he thinks is suited for it.

However, nothing is clear, and well, I can’t help but thinking, Skepta? Skepta’s def not the best rapper in the UK… Wich leads me onto this, I’ve received some e-mails the past two months wondering why I haven’t written about Skepta’s latest single ‘Bad Boy’:

the answer is, cause it’s rubbish to my ears. Dunno, I’ve always reckoned Skepta to be a better producer than an MC and think he should stick to doing just that and pass the spitting along to his brother instead as JME is a far better MC than Skepta.

But well, will be interesting to see how this all play out. Diddy recently begun to manage Nicki Minaj (you better hold on to Cassie Diddy…) and will he be the one to make the grime scene alive again or will he put the last nail in the coffin? We have learned from the past that going over seas can go real bad, just look at the type a example: Lady Sovereign and the whole Jay-Z affair. However, as I said, will be real intriguing to see how this develop.

In wait for that grime remix to surface, here’s the official remix also featuring Rick Ross whom Diddy also manages from now on:

Skepta great live? I beg to differ, it was a long time a ago I saw him, like ages, long before the 'Rolex Sweep' and all that junk. But he wasn't good live back then either, all he did was swinging a bottle of whiskey and walked funny all tangled up in his sweater. Still thinks he's a better producer than a live entertainer.Yeah, there's so many good artists Diddy could have singed, and it's not certain it is Fugative either, look at some recent tweets from Diddy bigging up Tinie Tempah and Tinchy… Well, time will tell who it is.

hahaha Fugative? Well, if so, strange that the MoS people haven't send out something regarding this, well, they prolly will when it's official then. But I actually like Fugative, he's 15, he has plenty of time to learn, Skepta on the other hand feels way past his expiration date as a rapper.
